Dyck "Deadlocks" Cediño
Visual Artist | Tattooist | Creative Facilitator

Dyck Cediño is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores the intersection of science, spirituality, and visual storytelling. With a formal background in BS Physics majoring in Computer Applications, Dyck's curiosity for life and living has led him down an unconventional path — one that merges analytical thinking with raw creative expression. He began his artistic journey in 2013 when his tattoo sketches began attracting attention, prompting him to explore various visual art forms.
Working across a range of media — pen and ink, acrylic, watercolor, oil — Dyck thrives on experimentation and the process of discovery. His work often draws on influences from philosophy, psychology, and religion/spirituality, resulting in deeply layered pieces that invite reflection on human experience and consciousness.
Dyck is also actively engaged in creative community-building. In the early years of his practice, he hosted independent exhibitions and gatherings in his apartment, cultivating grassroots support for emerging artists. Since then, he has participated in several local and national exhibitions including Atoa (Dakong Balay), Manifest (Mugna Gallery), Intention (Shelter PH), and ArtFair Philippines 2021. He held a solo exhibition titled Everlast at Pintô Art Museum in Antipolo and followed it up with shows such as Deadlocks (2022), PLEROMA II (2024), and Landscapes of the Human Condition (2020).
In 2025, Dyck collaborated with Pinspired Art Souvenirs on Humanized, a bold mini art print book featuring 12 black-and-white surreal line artworks. Known in the tattoo world for his intricate ink work, this limited collection (100 copies only) showcases a different side of his practice — exploring the human conditions through abstract forms and flowing lines.

In 2025, Dyck also contributed a surrealist piece titled Thalassophilia to the group show Atoa, organized by Pinspired Art Souvenirs and Hersley Casero.
His black-and-white abstract artwork Merry also appeared in the collaborative art craft book Gentle People.
