About artist:

Born and raised in Dumaguete City, Kat Banay is an artist, photographer and a graphic designer. She graduated from Silliman University with a degree in Information Technology. Prior to her journey as an artist, she has engaged in other creative endeavors in the field of photography and graphic design.

She discovered her skill in traditional art shortly after she learned modern calligraphy in 2015. From then on, she studied and explored what turned out to be her favorite medium, watercolors. Her earliest subjects were loose florals, simple landscapes and miniatures. In 2021, she started drawing and painting storefronts, building facades and local scenery.

Her subjects are mainly about places she’s visited, loved or simply admired. Her hometown Dumaguete and Negros Oriental inspire her her greatly which is also evident in most of her artworks. Today, she continues to make these drawings both for personal and commissioned projects.

Kat Banay, a talented artist known for her exceptional skills in calligraphy and watercolor, has been a longstanding collaborator with Pinspired.
