In this piece, I wanted to capture the quiet moment before transformation, the stillness at the doorway where light, innocence, and possibility come together. Mary stands at the threshold with one hand on the weathered door and the other reaching toward a world that feels both unfamiliar and meant for her. The robin, a gentle guardian in the story, becomes her guide as well, urging her forward with silent certainty.
The glowing garden symbolizes renewal: a space that awakens only when someone chooses to see it. Like Mary, the viewer is invited to step into the warmth and recognize that wonder often waits behind forgotten doors, patient, resilient, and ready to bloom.
