About artist:

Alma Zosan, a passionate and versatile artist, was born in the landscapes of Palawan, Philippines. Since her early art classes in elementary school, Alma has been captivated by the world of artistic expression. Eager to develop her skills further, she enrolled in Foundation University College of Fine Arts, where she delved deeper into the realms of painting and photography.

 

Driven by a thirst for adventure and a desire to explore new horizons, Alma embarked on a transformative journey to Oman, where she worked as a photographer for two enriching years. Immersed in a different culture and surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, she honed her ability to capture the essence of her surroundings through the lens of her camera.

Returning to her homeland, Alma found her artistic talents embraced by Atmosphere Resorts, where she spent six fulfilling years as a graphic designer. It was during this time that she discovered her deep affinity for the underwater world. Becoming a certified scuba diver opened up a whole new realm of inspiration for Alma. Her encounters with the mesmerizing marine life, vibrant coral reefs, and tranquil oceanic scenes became a wellspring of creativity. Her watercolor, acrylic, and pen & ink works beautifully depict the ethereal beauty and delicate balance of the underwater realm.

Alma's artistic journey doesn't stop at two-dimensional mediums. She also finds immense joy in working with pottery. From the earthy warmth of terracotta to the textured allure of stonewares, she effortlessly shapes and molds clay into unique and intricate forms. Currently, Alma is pushing her boundaries further by exploring the delicate art of porcelain, embracing both the heartbreak and surprises that accompany the pursuit of this refined medium.

Now residing in Florida, Alma continues to seek inspiration in the vibrant surroundings and enriching experiences of her life. With her family by her side, she embraces new artistic challenges and channels her creativity into every stroke of her brush, every click of her camera, and every delicate touch of clay. Alma's artistic journey is a testament to her unwavering passion, dedication, and continuous exploration of the boundless world of art.
