Gretchen’s first solo show, Tropical State of Mind, unfolded like a vibrant island escape —where art, music, and community came together in perfect harmony. Held at Pinspired Art Gallery, the event welcomed a vibrant mix of guests — art enthusiasts, collectors, and Gretchen’s beloved family and friends, all coming together to share this milestone moment.
From the moment the doors opened, the space came alive with tropical energy. Lush palm plants adorned the venue, complementing Gretchen’s watercolor artworks and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. The soothing sounds of live ukulele music performed by a talented local singer added a soulful island vibe, making the evening truly unforgettable.
Guests were treated to delicious catering provided by Silver Reef Dive Resort, which made the gathering even more special. It was a perfect blend of art and hospitality, reflecting the spirit of the tropics that inspired Gretchen’s work.
We were honored to welcome special guests and art collectors, including Ms. Maribel Quimson and Nina Teves, who acquired some of Gretchen’s original artworks. Their support, along with that of every guest who attended, means so much to us and to the artist.
The event opened with a heartfelt speech from Jane (Evgeniya Spiridonova), owner of Pinspired Art Souvenirs, who shared the story behind Gretchen’s journey to her first solo show and the collaboration that brought this collection to life.
The highlight of the evening was Gretchen herself — warmly greeting visitors, sharing stories behind her pieces, and personally signing copies of her newly released Art Print Book, which features all the works from the exhibition.
