Walk With Me Through Tales Lost Long Ago is an often imagined scene of the artist, trying to capture the feeling of being invited into adventures written in old children’s literature. Its art style is a nod to how book illustrations used to be drawn prior to digital media, with often very vibrant and specific hues, overlaid with etches and hatchings with the use of pen and ink. It positions the viewer at a supposed start of what’s expected to be a long trip from the usual fields and kingdom to the unknowns of a forest. The Raggedy Ann and Andy books have been a big influence on the artist as they embody the very meaning of whimsy and imaginative adventure, following two dolls who come alive to bring kindness and happiness everywhere they go.

The artwork was exhibited at Pinspired Art Gallery during the Onceupon Art Exhibition (Dec 2025–Jan 2026), devoted to children’s storybooks. A portion of the sales supports the Books on Wheel Valencia Mobile Library, promoting literacy and a love for reading among children.
