Pinspired Art Gallery proudly presents The Filipino Everyday, a curated group exhibition featuring ten contemporary artists from Negros Oriental at TOPS ArtFest 2026, held October 22–25 at TOPS Cebu, Philippines.
The Filipino Everyday explores the ordinary moments, familiar objects, and childhood memories that shape our experiences in the Philippines. Rather than focusing on idealized representations of Filipino culture, the exhibition highlights personal observations and often-overlooked details of daily life. Each artist offers a unique perspective, transforming familiar experiences into meaningful contemporary artworks.
Among the exhibition highlights is Clown Meeting by Gretchen Villanueva-Heras, a charming watercolor painting of two clownfish that became particularly popular with young visitors during the art fair.
Faye Manalo presents intricate beaded artworks exploring everyday experiences through abstraction, patterns, and personal interpretation.
In two artworks titled secret keeper, Skye Benito reflects on childhood memories, private emotions, and the personal stories we carry into adulthood.
Meanwhile, Mikoo Cataylo's Tsinelas, terracotta sculptures of the iconic Filipino slippers, transforms one of the country's most familiar everyday objects into a fragile reminder of daily life.
The exhibition brings together ten Filipino artists: Kat Banay, Gretchen Villanueva-Heras,Hemrod Duran, Mikoo Cataylo, Dan Dvran, Vanessa Gaston, Deadlocks, Rey Labarento, Faye Manalo, Skye Benito.
Through its participation in TOPS ArtFest Cebu, Pinspired Art Gallery continues its mission to promote Filipino contemporary art and connect local artists with wider audiences.
The exhibition was brought to life with the support of Pinspired’s gallery team, including gallery assistants and emerging artists Adon Duran and Danica Castalla, alongside gallery manager and Pinspired founder Ms. Evgeniya Spiridonova.
Based at The Henry Resort Dumaguete, Pinspired Art Gallery supports emerging and established Filipino artists through curated exhibitions, publications, and creative collaborations.
The Filipino Everyday invites audiences to discover the extraordinary stories hidden within ordinary Filipino life.
