The story
The concept of collaborating with local Filipino artists and using the Map of the Philippines as a canvas first sparked in 2023 when one of our customers requested a creative rendition of the map. Recognizing the potential to unite artists and showcase the rich diversity of our beloved Philippines, we embarked on what we named "PINTA PH MAPS."
Since September 2023, we have been inviting talented local artists to join hands with us at Pinspired Art Souvenirs to create the variety of PH maps. As our project expanded, we discovered an array of beautifully designed maps from artists across the country. We welcomed them to showcase their artworks at our exhibition, titled 'PH MAP.'
Thanks to the support of Arté Café and Gallery, we were able to present our entire collection to the public. From digital art transformed into products like art prints, stickers, and postcards, to original artworks created by artists employing diverse mediums, our exhibition offers a true feast for the eyes.
Interactive highlights
One of the interactive highlights of our exhibition is a unique cork map of the Philippines, laser-cut by Subida Souvenirs and designed by Jane, the owner of Pinspired Art Souvenirs. Guests are invited to participate in a playful game where they can test their geographic knowledge by placing pins representing different provinces onto the cork map. To accompany this activity, we've also designed a downloadable "Philippine Regions and Provinces Poster" for an enhanced gaming experience.
Another engaging piece is the Filipino table game "Snakes and Ladders," lovingly revived by local artist Deadlocks. The original artwork titled "The Search for the Lost Pearl" was engraved on wood, transforming it into both a functional game and a charming wall decoration.
For our younger visitors, we've prepared a clear map of the Philippines for coloring, accompanied by a set of crayons for endless creative fun.
Artworks
Among the many extraordinary artworks featured in our exhibition, we're proud to spotlight Hersley Casero & Toulla Mavromati's remarkable denim artwork "Asul" and Isabelle Ocier's silk scarf of JIM Weaver Designs, adorned with the illustration featuring the majestic Filipino symbol, the whale shark.
Additionally, Alma Zosan's silk screen printing on canvas "Marine Wildlife of the Philippines" not only locally printed and crafted, but also supports the noble cause of Marine Wildlife Watch Philippines, as well as the poster designed by Cynthia Bauzon-Arre featuring endemic birds of the Philippines, supporting the Talarak Foundation in Negros Oriental.

As a special treat, catering was sponsored by Pinspired Food & Gifts, a new shop soon to open in Dakong Balay. Guests indulged in delicious homemade ice cream from Ando's Ice Cream, adding a sweet touch to our celebration.
The Opening Reception of our exhibition also marks our 7th anniversary, a milestone in our journey as a local business dedicated to promoting Filipino artistry.
